Restaurant marketing calendar 2027

The restaurants that do best on the big dates are the ones that started promoting weeks earlier. Here are the key dates for UK restaurants in 2027 and when to start. The full printable calendar is free to download.

January to March

• Veganuary: all month. Start promoting plant-based dishes in December.
• Burns Night: Monday 25 January.
• Chinese New Year: Saturday 6 February (Year of the Goat).
• Ramadan: expected to begin around Sunday 7 February. Think about iftar menus and later opening.
• Pancake Day: Tuesday 9 February.
• Valentine’s Day: Sunday 14 February. Start promoting four weeks ahead.
• Eid al-Fitr: expected around Saturday 6 or Sunday 7 March, subject to moon sighting.
• Mothering Sunday: Sunday 7 March. One of the busiest Sundays of the year; open bookings six weeks ahead.
• St Patrick’s Day: Wednesday 17 March.

April to June

• Good Friday: 26 March. Easter Sunday: 28 March. Easter Monday: 29 March (bank holiday).
• Early May bank holiday: Monday 3 May.
• Eid al-Adha: expected mid-May, subject to moon sighting.
• Spring bank holiday: Monday 31 May.
• Father’s Day: Sunday 20 June.

July to September

• Summer holidays: late July to early September. Family offers and outdoor dining.
• Summer bank holiday (England and Wales): Monday 30 August.

October to December

• Rugby World Cup 2027: October to November, played in Australia. Plan around kick-off times for screenings.
• Diwali: expected around Friday 29 October. Confirm the date closer to the time.
• Halloween: Sunday 31 October.
• Bonfire Night: Friday 5 November.
• Black Friday: Friday 26 November. Gift vouchers sell well from here.
• Christmas Day: Saturday 25 December. Bank holidays fall on Monday 27 and Tuesday 28 December.
• New Year’s Eve: Friday 31 December. Open bookings in September.

Pick the five or six dates that suit your restaurant and your customers, and build each one into your content calendar at least a month ahead. Moveable religious festivals depend on the lunar calendar, so check dates nearer the time.
