Walk away from bad-fit clients
We are selective about who we work with - and we make no apology for that. Not every business is ready for marketing and we’ll tell you so rather than take the retainer. These are the principles we actually operate by. They shape who we work with and how.
We tell you when your business isn’t ready for advertising. When a competitor has the edge. When a campaign isn’t working. Honest counsel, even when it’s uncomfortable, is the most valuable thing we offer.
We deliberately limit the number of clients we take on. Not as a sales tactic - because spreading attention too thin means no account gets the level of thinking it deserves. We would rather decline work than deliver it poorly.
We choose our clients as carefully as they choose us. If a business has unresolved issues that advertising will expose rather than fix, we say so before starting, not after. Marketing cannot fix a broken business.
When something underperforms we identify the cause and act on it. We don’t reframe data to look better than it is. Our reporting is structured around what actually happened and what comes next.
We cannot fix problems we don’t know about. We ask for a genuine level of communication from clients - not daily check-ins, but responsive, honest dialogue. Clients who go quiet are clients we cannot serve effectively.
We bring professional-grade expertise, genuine commitment and real results. In return we expect to be treated as a professional partner. We do not work with businesses that treat the people working on their behalf badly.
You have a strong product or service and you know it. You’re willing to be involved - not to manage us, but to give access, honest feedback and timely input when we need it. You understand that marketing compounds over time and doesn’t produce overnight results. You understand that some of the most valuable things we do will be things we advise you not to do. And you treat the people working on your business with respect.
