Case study

Red Dog Catering London

SEO research for Red Dog Saloon showed catering was a large, separate market. We positioned it as a second business with its own website, so each brand could compete in its own lane.

The challenge

While building the SEO plan for Red Dog Saloon, the research showed strong search demand for BBQ catering: weddings, private celebrations and corporate events. Catering is a different lane from restaurant dining, with its own customers and its own set of competitors. Serving it from the restaurant website would have diluted both.

What we did

We recommended running catering as a second business rather than a section of the restaurant site. That gave it room to specialise, kept the two offers clearly separate for customers, and let each site target its own searches without competing with the other. We then designed and built a dedicated website for Red Dog Catering, still carrying the Red Dog Saloon name for trust.

Results

  • Missed opportunity identified from SEO research and turned into a second business
  • Catering launched as a standalone brand with its own website
  • Restaurant and catering sites each target their own market, with no overlap
